Birth Packages

"We were incredibly lucky to find Laura, who after our first meeting felt like we had known for years. Laura’s calm and friendly presence, as well as her endless advice helped both my husband and I prepare for and trust the birthing process."

- Gillian F, first time mum, Bromley

My birth services are tailored to suit the individual requirements of each person and family I work with, so never quite the same. I offer an obligation free consultation to all potential clients to explore how I can support you in more detail.

There is the option to add on my full or mini private  hypnobirthing course to all of these packages for the discounted rate of £250 (full) or £160 (mini). You can find out more about the course here.

Doula in your pocket (remote birth support)

This package was developed in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Due to infection control measures, in March 2020, most maternity units across the country began restricting birth partners to just one, meaning that doula support had to go online.

I have found remote birth preparation and birth support (via zoom or phone) to be incredibly effective in giving parents the confidence they need to have the birth they want. It means you get a trusted, evidence based person to call on throughout pregnancy, birth and beyond, to talk through any fears, anxieties, decisions or concerns.

It also means that, due to reduced expenses and overheads, I'm able to transfer my savings to you, making this a really affordable option.

I plan to continue working this way for the foreseeable future.

This package includes two options:

Option one: birth preparation

- 4 hours of birth preparation sessions via zoom. Find out the kinds of things we will cover here.

- Continuous support throughout pregnancy on email, text or phone, including last minute planning sessions if your circumstances change

- Access to my birth library of books

- 1 postnatal visits, in person if possible, or via zoom

Option two: birth preparation with remote birth support

- Everything in option one, plus:

- I will go on call 2 weeks before your EDD, until your birth begins. I will be available to you 24/7 to offer practical and emotional support as you approach your birth

- When your birth begins, you, or anyone at your birth is welcome to contact me at any time for on hand support and advice

- This might include birth positions suggestions, breathing techniques, comfort measures and when to transfer to hospital/birth centre

- If you live within 30 miles of TN9, I will come to your home to help with your latent phase and transfer to your birth setting.

Investment:

Option one: £400 (birth preparation)

Option two:£800 (with remote birth support)

A word about my fees

I truly believe that everyone deserves a doula, but I also need to value my time with a fee that I feel is a fair reflection of my services, which includes a month on call and all of the planning and chaos that brings! Therefore, I ask that people who can afford to pay my full fee do so, so that I can then offer a reduced rate to those who can't. If you can't - you can talk to me (particularly if you live within 10 miles of TN9)

I'm very happy to offer payment plans over a number of months, starting at £100 per month, as well as gift vouchers - perhaps your family and friends could pool together!
